It is well suited to pre-cleaning applications on the intake of a grain drying and storage system and its heavy construction and optional galvanised finish deliver outstanding durability.

An essential piece of equipment on plants in northern England and Scotland handling larger tonnages of wet oats, the Aagaard AF pre-cleaner is particularly effective when combined with a rotary drum cleaner. Danish manufacturer Aagraard has specialised in the design and manufacture of dust extraction and aspiration systems since 1965. The AF range of industrial aspiration pre-cleaners has been long established in the UK where its unique design and uncompromising build quality has secured it a reputation as the leading aspirator pre-cleaner on both farm and commercial grain storage systems.

There range consist of five models with output ranging from 40 – 200 tonnes per hour. The incoming material falls onto a fluted cone causing it to turn, this rotating action ensures grain falls as a very thin continuous curtain across the cleaning air flow. The unique design means the cleaning airflow must pass through the material twice ensuring the best results. The airflow is controlled manually or electrically to ensure the only unwanted admixture is removed from the crop.

The pre-cleaner can be situated either inside or outside, additional weather skirts are available for outdoor use. It has a heavy duty construction, the body is manufactured from 3mm plate and the fan has a 6mm steel impellor. The unit is available in either a painted or galvanised finish. While cleaning performance is high power requirements are relatively low ranging from 5.5kW to 15kW depending on the model.
