Moore Concrete was founded in 1978 and originally manufactured cattle slats for the agricultural market. Based just outside Ballymena in Northern Ireland, the business has grown considerably and today serves the agricultural, building and civil engineering markets. Together, McArthur BDC and Moore Concrete have co-developed several innovative products to make installation of grain handling equipment quicker and easier.
The Concrete Bunkers Walls are double load bearing and up to 3m in height do not need bolting down when retaining combinable crops. Forklift tine recesses are cast into the units to allow for quick, simple and safe re-positioning with a telehandler. As well as the standard unit, there is a corner unit allowing the formation of bunkers. All Bunker Wall units are CE certified and manufactured to EN15258.
The length of each Bunker Wall unit is 1.2m and they are available in heights 1.5m, 2.4m, 3.0m, 3.6m, 4.0m and 4.3m. The weight of the walls ranges from 1.2 tonnes to 3.6 tonnes, so consideration of telehandler capacity needs to be taken when selecting height. While the weight of each unit increases delivery costs, it is this weight that prevents the grain walls moving or overturning once in use in the grain in store. This weight gives the Moore Concrete Bunker wall the outstanding stability that sets the product apart from others on the market.
