The JHD Disc Dehuller is fed via the top inlet which drops grain between a two horizontally mounted hulling discs. The top disc is stationary and the gap between it and the rotating lower disc is adjustable. The grains are dehulled in the gap between the two discs which can be adjusted depending on the product. The hulling disc material varies depending on the crop being processed.
The JHD Disc Dehuller is designed for straightforward operation and maintenance. Easy to clean and maintain with few moving parts. The motor that drives the rotor must be controlled by an inverter to allow the rpm of the rotor to be changed to achieve maximum dehulling efficiency. The removal of stones and metal impurities is essential prior to dehulling and for the best results grain is graded prior to dehulling so they are of uniform particle size.

Why Disc Dehullers
